From time to time Hidden Valley Farm will offer hand made llama fiber items, for sale, from local artists and spinners. These items will include articles of clothing, felted art and art objects, rugs and more. Raw fiber and yarn will also be available for those who do their own spinning, knitting and weaving.
Most of these items will be made from llama fiber gathered from the local area. Expect to see items from the very whimsical to very practical.
For those unfamiliar with llama fiber it is very soft and light. The warmth to weight ratio is amazing and, since llama fiber does not contain lanolin, it does not cause the skin rash that sheep wool does to those of us who are allergic.
Llama fiber can be died like most fiber but is at its best with the natural variations of color from the coats of many llamas.
